Artist Statement
Katrīna Marta Riņķe (also known as Kei Sendak) is a Latvian born visual artist working with analog photography, text, and installation. Her practice explores time, impermanence, and the shifting relationship between landscape, memory, and materiality.
Often beginning with 16mm analog processes or experimental image-making, she creates works that respond to place — tracing how water, light, and human presence shape and reshape the environment. Her recent research focuses on water as both subject and collaborator: a fluid force that dissolves borders, writes its own histories, and carries memory through form.
Through ephemeral installations and alternative photographic methods, Kei invites the viewer into a space of quiet observation — where images unfold slowly, and landscapes are never still.
